Telephone consultations can be arranged with any doctor or nurse. Contact reception to ask for a telephone consultation and you will be called on the day you request. To help the doctor or nurse, please let the receptionist know why you need to speak them, this will enable the clinician to deal with your call more effectively.
To do this we need to have up to date, accurate telephone numbers. Remember to tell the receptionist if you are not calling from your usual address and provide them with a contact number.
You may not receive a reply until the end of a morning or afternoon surgery, so it would be helpful if you could let the receptionist know if you are expecting an urgent reply – in this situation the receptionist may ask the on-call doctor, rather than the doctor of your choice, to return your call.
